This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Second International Conference on Interactive Digital Storytelling, ICIDS 2009, held in Guimarães, Portugal, in December 2009. The 19 full papers, 11 short papers and 5 poster papers were carefully reviewed and selected from 89 paper and poster submissions. In addition, the volume includes 4 invited presentations, 6 demonstration papers, and five workshop papers.
