Resumen: This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the IFIP WG 8.2 Working Conference "Shaping the Future of ICT Research", held in Tampa, FL, USA, in December 2012. The 15 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions. The papers are organized in the following topical sections: new methods in design science research; recent developments in inductive research methods; emerging themes in interpretive case study research; new ideas in positivist research; and innovative trends in information systems research.
